Meet our Team

Kim Morton – Acting CEO

My name is Kim Morton and I am currently Acting CEO for Hawksbury Community Living Trust. I am based in Christchurch but travel between both regions Dunedin and Christchurch.

I am very fortunate to have spent most of my working life with Hawksbury Trust having started in June 1993. My initial role was as a support worker in one of our Dunedin homes. Over the years I have had many roles including Manager, Team Leader, Coordinator, Operations Manager and now the interim role of Acting CEO.

My passion for the disability sector is a reflection of my commitment to my role. I have empathy and understanding and strive to ensure that the people we support live their lives in an inclusive community achieving in all aspects of their lives to the best of their ability . We encourage, support and admire their determination in what can be daily challenges. I feel that it is a privilege not a given that the people we support come into our lives. Being proud of what we do and how we achieve it, is what drives me to continue to be part of an Organisation that is focused on the people we support to live a life of inclusion and diversity.
